The tour - the fourth annual - was the largest in terms of houses (8) and the number of persons taking the tour (about 700). Again, the chairperson was Margie Booz, aided by a committee of volunteers from across the community. In addition, about 18 historical society volunteers handled tickets and gift sales at the Jenkins Historic Complex.
A highlight of the tour was the official opening of the new children's bedroom in the homestead. The room was furnished using the proceeds from the 2006 Holiday history Tour. This year's proceeds will go toward furnishing the Jenkins Master Bedroom in time for next year's tour.
